Camp Jeep San DiegoThe Jeep Test Track is an interactive adventure zone where professional 4 x 4 drivers allow riders to experience a Jeep's on and off-road capabilities. The Jeep test track includes logs, stumps, an angled drive-over and other Jeep Trail Rated terrains. It also features a thrilling, "can't miss" hill climb where passengers experience the Jeep's traction capabilities while climbing the 16-foot, 35 degree Jeep Mountain-the icon of the ride. Similar to a roller coaster experience, many riders run back in line to take the Jeep through its paces, again, after experiencing the multiple capabilities of the Jeep line-up.

Tesla Tesla, the highly exclusive, all-electric roadster will be on display for the first time at the San Diego International Auto Show. The exhibit will feature both Tesla vehicles – the 2010 Roadster Sport, and 2010 Roadster – and Tesla representatives will be on hand to discuss the vehicles with interested show attendees and potential customers. |

Model T Club The Model T, which celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, will be showcased at the San Diego International Auto thanks to the Model T Club of San Diego. Club members will be at the show dressed in period clothing and helping to educate attendees about Henry Ford's "car for a great multitude." |

ExoticsThis year’s show offers an exquisite selection of exotics, courtesy of Jake’s Motorcars of San Diego. On display will be an Aston Martin V-8 Vantage, notable as the favored vehicle of super-sleuth James Bond; the Rolls-Royce Phantom, brining one of the most storied nameplates to the show floor; the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, one of the recent Bentley’s that has turned heads around the world; and finally, the Ferrari 575 Maranello BlackBlack, a case study in speed and elegance. In total, Jake’s Motorcars will be showcasing nearly 30 vehicles, including: Ferrari 612 Scaglietti; Lamborghini Murcielago; Lamborghini Diablo Roadster; Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged Strut Package; Mercedes Benz CLS500 Show Car; and, Porsche GT3. ClassicsOne of the largest collections of classic vehicles in the history of the San Diego International Auto Show will be on display courtesy of the La Jolla Motor Car Classic. Featuring a literal history of the automobile, starting with a 1904 DeDion-Bouton and ending in the muscle car era, the exhibit will transport show attendees to any number of time periods, from the early years to the mid sixties. One of the highlights at this years La Jolla Motor Car Classic are the automobiles of Carroll Shelby. Race Car Automotive Hall of Fame inductee Carroll Shelby’s vision to combine a lightweight European chassis with American V8 power resulted in one of the greatest sports car and one of the fastest road cars ever constructed - the Shelby Cobra and several will be on display. Also included in this display will be 1930 Isotta Fraschini; 1913 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost; 1955 Pontiac Starcheif; 1934 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton and much more. Mazda Family DaySunday, January 3rd, 2010 Sunday, January 3 is Mazda Family Day where children 12 and under get in free with a paid adult and kid-friendly activities begin at 10 a.m. and concluding at 3:00 p.m. This year, Mazda has teamed up with San Diego-based "Paint My Ride Party™' and local charity "A Reason To Survive" that will allow auto show attendees, for a suggested donation, the chance to paint Mazda vehicles. All donations will go directly to “A Reason to Survive,” which is dedicated to healing, inspiring, and empowering children facing life challenges by providing innovative arts-based programs, education and opportunities. Mazda Family Day will also welcome San Diego’s own Jumpitz, an up and coming children's entertainment group that inspires children to jump in and discover their world through engaging music, stories and dance. The Jumpitz will perform three shows on the Main Stage and will do meet and greets in between performances at the Jack FM booth in the Mazda exhibit. *A suggested $3 dollar donation to the A Reason To Survive non-profit organization is requested to participate in the Paint My Ride activity.

Ivan "Ironman" StewartOff-racing legend Ivan "Ironman" Stewart, is scheduled to appear and sign autographs on Friday, January, 1, 2010 at the San Diego International Auto Show. His first appearance is scheduled for 11 a.m. – 12 noon in the Eco-Center; 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. in the Toyota display and from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. with his Baja truck in Hall H of the convention center. |
